(Now Open) Walrus Pub & Beer Hall - Toronto, Canada

Walrus Pub & Beer Hall, under thee Donnelly Group, is now open. It’s located at the Bay Street & Wellington Street intersection, formerly the Far Niente location. This is a very convenient location, situated at the heart of the financial district. It offers beer, cocktails, martini and pub food such as burgers, fries, pizzas and more.

When we walked through the entrance, we were greeted by two friendly staff, since it was jampacked, we gave them our name to be place on the waiting list, then we walked around to try to grab a drink. At the 1st bar station, it was just too jampacked so we decided to walk through a few tables and walked to a 2nd bar station, it’s still packed but we managed to order 2 cocktails from the bartender. All bar areas had bar stools and standing room and hooks underneath the counter for people to hang their coats or handbags.

It’s a busy and jam packed night filled with mainly Bay Street people. There were a number of flat screens on the wall showing a number of games. Lots of picture frames along the walls. For me, it’s hard to describe the decor, it’s better than a old British pub yet it’s not as fancy as some other restaurants. I think it’s modern, reasonable and interesting enough.

Live band music every Thursday. To me, this is a good spot for coworker gathering after work, grab a few drinks and get some food.
