#PizzaMonth – Queen Margherita Pizza (QMP)

0

Queen Margherita PizzaWell, as you all know, I am ALWAYS on the MOVE that I can’t show up for everything. However, I also don’t like to waste opportunities or resources either. Whenever I can’t attend something, I will either invite my MoVernie Interns or MoVernie Spies to go on my behalf, that way, nothing get wasted and they get to experience and enjoy the events

MoVernie Question: Did you know October is #PizzaMonth?

Don’t worry, I didn’t know either but it’s good to know. We are always learning something new throughout our lives. This also mean you have Halloween to indulge and celebrate #PizzaMonth at QMP.

During this #PizzaMonth, Queen Margherita Pizza reached out and invited us to try out its signature margherita pizza. Since I was still in my EuroTrip, my MoVernie Spy, Mavis made a MOVE on my behalf. Below is her dining experience at Queen Margherita Pizza. Mind you, there are 3 QMP locations and Mavis decided to check out 772 Dundas Street West location.

By: Mavis (aka MoVernie Spy)

I went to the Dundas West location. In addition to ordering the complimentary magherita pizza, we also ordered the following items, Rocco the 1st, the salami plate and the beef carpaccio.

Queen Margherita PizzaTheir ingredients are made with San Marzano DOP tomatoes which is the highest designation outside of Naples Italy.

Fior di latte and fresh basil – always my favourite because the simple San Marzano tomato sauce paired with the cheese and basil provides a clean palette profile.

Rocco the 1st – fennel sausage, fior di latte, red onion, Gorgonzola. I am generally not a fan of Gorgonzola but this one is mild and paired well the the sausage. The red onion gives it sweetness, well balanced, meat doesn’t take away the freshness of the tomato.

Queen Margherita PizzaThe salami plate (small) – good variety with warm bread.

Queen Margherita PizzaBeef caparccio – shaved asparagus, lemon, pine nuts and parmagianno. The lemon off sets the richness of the beef and the pine nuts add texture.

Queen Margherita PizzaOverall MoVernie Spy Dining Experience:

Experience: 4/5
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5

Good for reservation, arrived early and was seated right away. Pizza got cold, were able to warm it up.

The food review and dining experience contributed by MoVernie Spy, Mavis is greatly appreciated!
