Porter Airlines Flights From Toronto Pearson are Now in the Air - February 1, 2023

Today, February 1, 2023, Porter Airlines (Porter) has made another major milestone for its corporation by flying its newly purchased planes from Toronto Pearson International Airport. As it’s newsletter indicated, “Porter flights from Toronto Pearson are now in the air ✈️” with an airplane emoji.

Porter Airlines first started flying from downtown Toronto Billy Bishop Airport, which they will still be flying in-and-out of the city. But now, customers have a choice of flying either at Billy Bishop or Toronto Pearson. In my opinion, this is welcoming news for travelers as I always feel it’s important for our Canadian airlines to stay competitive, to offer more flight options and allowing airlines to push each other to provide better flying experiences for everyone.

Not only have Porter Airlines bought a fleet of brand-new Embraer E195-E2 jets but they are elevating the “Economy” flying experience by offering all passengers on these new jets with include free, fast WiFi and free in-flight entertainment. Furthermore, passengers also get to enjoy free beer, wine and premium snacks – and no middle seats, ever. They even have a new hashtag #ActuallyEnjoyEconomy. This is a game changer and I have to tell you, I flew with Porter Airlines many times and each time is very pleasant experience. The lounge at Billy Bishop is nice, there is hardly any lineups for security check and luggage delays. The in-flight experience has always been amazing for me.

Now that these new flights are at Toronto Pearson, I will have to see what it’s like as we all heard of all the horror news about our infamous airport.

Anyhow, currently, Porter flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport have officially taken off today. Starting now, passengers can fly with Porter from Toronto Pearson to Ottawa and Montreal, and more inaugural flights will be happening in the coming weeks of February, eventually expanding its routes to the U.S. and Mexico.
