POST Houston (formerly Houston Downtown Post Office) [HOUSTON TRAVEL SERIES]

0

POST Houston is an entertainment venue in Downtown Houston, Texas, United States which was formerly a major regional post office – then known as Houston Downtown Post Office. The first time when I was here on a Press Trip back in February 2022, I was impressed about this project.

The owner and its management preserved and saved this property from being demolished. Instead, they have a plan and wanted to retain the historic post office, building a food hall, using the rooftop to provide green space for people to chill with their families and loved ones. One of the most beautiful skyline. Moreover, there is a very entertainment sound hall that hosts concerts and live entertainment.

And moreover, I was told that the POST Houston will be building a hotel.

Speaking of the Food Hall, it has a variety of diverse food from Japanese food to Filipino food to Chinese foo and more. I like food hall coz there is always something for everyone. Whether someone is vegan, vegetarian or have allergies, everyone an order whatever they want and can sit together and enjoy their respective meals.

Houston First Tourism Board provided us with the POST Houston gift card so the 3 of us could roam around and ordered whatever we want to try and to share.

Let us show you all the food and beverages that we indulged at POST Houston.

Loy Loy Dim Sum: Shrimp Har Gao (Crystal Shrimp Dumplings) and Pork Siu Mai

We ordered some sushi as well – Salmon sushi handroll.

We went to the bar and ordered a beer tower to wash down the amazing food.

Flower & Cream – Our MoVernie team member, Steven was super excited when he ordered the 6 scoop of ice cream here at the Flower & Cream, oh mine, the smile on his face.

The best part? We went up to the Skylawn, rooftop overlooking the Downtown Houston Skyline and sitting on the astro turf to enjoy the nice summer temperature and the icecream.

MoVernie TIP: The Skylawn, rooftop of the POST Houston one of the hidden gems to see the Downtown Houston skyline and it’s FREE! Just take the spiral stairs up to the rooftop or take the elevator.

Our dining experience during this press trip was provided by Houston First. However, as always, the opinions expressed in this post is entirely my own.
