Welcome to the Quesada Burritos & Tacos Media Menu Preview & Test Kitchen Tasting Event.

This past Tuesday, my crew and I got invited by the Quesada Canada and the PR Team to attend its Media Menu Preview & Test Kitchen Tasting Event hosted at one of its many locations, 250 Dundas Street West.

At the media preview event, we got to catch up with many other foodie bloggers who were also at this event. We got to meet the owner, Steve, who welcomed everyone for attending, he also played an important role. He had to taste everyone’s DIY salsa later in the evening to determine a winner. The winner takes home a nice Samsung Tablet as a gift.

At the media preview, we got to taste various Quesada‘s signature items that were available for the public to purchase, this included the “drunken chicken” burritos, ancho pork quesadillas, spicy chicken tostadas and much more.

Also, there were food items who were labelled as “Test Kitchen“, meaning, they were still under evaluations, awaiting feedback from foodie bloggers such as ourselves and other focus groups to determine which one should be put onto the market and which one shouldn’t. Perhaps some food items tasted great but may need further enhancements. Some of the items under the “Test Kitchen” labels included, Portobello & Poblano soft tacos; Chorizo & sweet potato burritos; Burrito soup with toppings and much much more.

The DIY Salsa contest was fun, a table full of various ingredients were there to allow us to create our own salsa. This was my 1st time making my own salsa. Although I didn’t win, it was the highlight of my night.

Foodie Bloggers were creating their own DIY Salsa.

I would also like to point out that I really enjoyed this beverage called “Jarritos“, it’s a pop in a glass bottle. There was mango, madarin or pineapple flavour. I enjoyed the mango flavour. So, whenever you are heading to any Quesada, I highly recommend you to get a Jarritos beverage. It’s a perfect combo with any buritos or tacos.

Last but not least, we each got a nice swag bag home, filled with goodies. I will definitely come back another time to try its Chile lime fish tacos. I love fish tacos!

As Quesada’s slogan says “The Joy of Mex”, if you love Mexican food, come on down to the nearest Quesada location near you!
