Raptors Kyle Lowry – My Interview at the MLSE Foundation Charity Event (Throwback 2013)

Click the screen above to watch my interview with Raptors Kyle Lowry that was conducted back in 2013! Definitely fitting for a Throw Back Thursday! Enjoy! Subscribe to my MoVernie Channel if you like what you saw.

Today is a big game between the Raptors vs the Spurs in San Antonio. Why such a big anticipated game? This is the 1st time, former Spurs player, Kawhi Leonard heading back to San Antonio to play against the former Raptors, DeMar DeRozan. This is not just any game as players most often like to tone things down, for sure, this is a big game for both players.

Anyhow, during this holiday season, I was cleaning up my files on my hard drive and little did I know I had an interview with Kyle Lowry back in 2013 when the Raptors just made a 3-way trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, trading Jose Calderon to the Detroit Pistons, sending Ed Davis to the Grizzlies and receiving Rudy Gay from the Grizzlies.

Jose Calderon -> Detroit Pistons

Ed Davis -> Memphis Grizzlies

Rudy Gay -> Toronto Raptors

2013 was also the 1st year Kyle Lowry was with the Toronto Raptors, he was traded from the Houston Rockets. Back then, his jersey number was #3 coz Andrea Bargnani was still wearing the #7 jersey.

In this video, you could see DeMar DeRozan video bombing my interview with Kyle and so does Rudy Gay. These are some funny people in the group.

Life is funny sometimes, Kyle Lowry was expected to be traded the year after this interview in 2014. And who would have thought that both DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay would be playing on the same team right now with the San Antonio Spurs.

I wish all of these gentlemen best of luck in 2019 with their respective team.

Special shoutout to my buddy, SammyT for bringing his big-ass equipment & camera to help me conduct these interviews with PPTV.ca back in 2013.
