(Rooftop/Public Bath/Sky Terrace – ibis Styles Tokyo Ginza East – Ginza, Tokyo, Japan [JAPAN TRAVEL SERIES]

0

During my visit to Tokyo, Japan, I was hosted here at the ibis Styles Tokyo Ginza East. I enjoyed my stay here at this hotel. The staff were friendly and competent. The hotel room was clean, organized and modern.

Furthermore, I really enjoyed the rooftop as this was where most of the amenities were located so I could maximize my experience here. Let me give you a tour of what this rooftop consists of for its guests.

Sky Terrace:

As I walked out the elevator, there was a door on my left with a big sign “Sky Terrace”, I opened the door and I saw the beautiful view of the city.

Since this hotel is the tallest structure within the area, there is absolutely no obstruction. You can see very far of the surroundings. It’s quite cool. The view, especially during the evening was marvelous.

There were a number of patio tables and chairs that you can chill and enjoy the view.

NOTE: Behind the Sky Terrace is where both the male and female public baths are located, so please try to be quiet and not make any noise as people in the public baths are trying to relax and remain quiet and peaceful. Moreover, imagine you are gossiping someone and they happen to be in the public baths, they will hear everything. LOL

Public Bath:

Male and Female have their own separate public bath facilities. They don’t cross-over, as both genders are kept separate.

NOTE: No photography or videography are allowed inside the public bath. But for this purpose to show you a glimpse of what it looks like, I took a few photos (no one was in the public bath during my visit), so you can get the idea.

When you entered the entrance of the public bath, first take off your slippers and place them into the cupboard that was provided.

Then, please put your valuables, phones, bathrobe and other items all into the locker provided. A key was assigned to each locker. You just lock the locker and put the key that wraps around your arm.

There was a toilet in the locker area as well as a powder room with hair gel, tissue, hand cream, hair dryer and other pampering items.

Once you opened the door, there was a bathing area. For good etiquette, it’s highly important to use wash your body before you dip into the hot springs.

There was an indoor hot spring area as well as an outdoor area with a roof made by wood and natural plants that wrap around it.

NOTE: When using the public bath, please respect others by staying quiet. It’s not meant to be loud or noisy.

MoVernie FUN FACT: The outdoor public bath is separated by a wooden barricade, on the other side of the barricade is the Sky Terrace, where people can sit and enjoy the view of the city. Thus, it’s best that you don’t make any noise or gossiping inside the public bath as other people outside maybe able to hear you from the other side.

Washing & Drying Machines + Vending Machine

At the rooftop floor, this is where you can do your laundry. The washing machines and drying machines are here.

Moreover, if you are hungry in the middle of the night and you don’t want to walk out the hotel, there is a vending machine where you can purchase snacks and beverages.
