I have been to Roses Cocina twice now and every time I am here, I enjoy the food. The food menu is concise but yet it has food options for everyone including vegetarian.
I first learned about Roses Cocina via a good friend who told me that this restaurant is located on the 2nd floor inside Hotel X. So, she decided to bring me here for my 1st time.
And for the 2nd time, I brought my family to CNE and it was raining and to be honest, the food prices at CNE is super pricey even for food court or food trucks that I may as well pay more $ at Roses Cocina so everyone can get the excellent service, sit comfortably and enjoy a dine-in meal.
We ordered some appetizers to share, that included the chicken wings and Hamachi Tostada. Both dishes were perfect to share and they were delicious.
By the way, they provided us with complimentary mini bread with special butter spread. It was made fresh from the bakery department inside Hotel X. That’s a nice touch!
Then, we each individually ordered our own main entrée and they were overall pretty damn good. However, my parents did mentioned that the pork chop was slightly overcooked making the meat dry. Nevertheless, our crispy fried chicken sandwich and lobster club sandwich were pretty good.
As for beverages, my mom ordered an iced tea. My dad ordered a pint of Guinness. My bro, aka MoKenny ordered the Roses Signature which came with a detailed ice that resembles a rose. That was a cool touch and photogenic for social media. I ordered a pint of Ace Hill Mexican Lager.
All in all, our server was attentive and was on top of things of filling up water for our table. It has great food, great vibe and with a great view of the Lake Shore. This is a perfect spot to dine and enjoy a nice meal, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner or just a few drinks. This is super perfect if you are going to a conference at the Enercare Centre nearby or across the road at Budweiser Stage for a pre-drink or post-drink for a live concert. Or perhaps like we did, we went to CNE and wanted to grab a bite and drinks.
I highly recommended Roses Cocina.
MoVernie TIP: Did you know that if you dine at Roses Cocina, you can get your parking validated for up to 3 hours dining at the resto. This is a nice touch and not everyone knows this. That’s a huge bonus especially we know how expensive parking can be in Toronto.
