Milne Dam Conservation Park – Markham, Ontario, Canada [ONTARIO TRAVEL SERIES]

After 2.5 months of doing my part staying inside during this COVID-19 crisis, I begin to feel bored. But I clearly don’t want to go to crowded place and still want to do my part to help flatten the curve. So, what’s the game plan?

Well….I had decided to wake up early and take a nice walk in a conservation park. Walking is some good exercise, there is hardly anyone in the park, so physical distancing at its finest. I could see all kinds of flowers, trees, plants that I have never seen before. You may see some wild animals (although I didn’t see any during my walk, you got to be alert and be careful).

Nice breeze and sunshine and fresh air really help freshen me up.

This conservation park is a large outdoor space that is perfect for birding watching with picnic spots & fishing in the Rouge River.

It has a modern bridge with a rustic look to it that allows you to walk across the Rouge River while having the water dam as a nice background for taking photos.

It also has a nice trail for exercise with ample of open space. Personally, I enjoyed the sound of the water flowing downstream from the Milne Dam.

More than ever, we need fresh air, outdoors, parks and hiking trails to help us stay mentally strong.

If you have a park or a national park near you, do some research and see how you can do some hiking while maintaining physical distancing.

Please take care and continue to do your part.
