Can you believe it? The 2019-2020 NBA season is about to begin and the media day and training camp is already happening! Time surely flies.
I am going to cherish every moment that the Toronto Raptors are the 2019 NBA World Champions!
As you may know, the Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets will play a pair of pre-season games in Japan on October 8 and October 10 at the Saitama Super Arena. This arena is located very close to Tokyo, Japan. It’s about 40 minutes train ride travelling north towards Saitama Super Arena from Tokyo, Japan.
Last November, Air Canada was so kind to host me and provided me with its direct flight Signature Class from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo, Japan. I was able to explore what this city has to offer. It was my 1st time visiting Tokyo and I felt in love. I love the food, the culture, the vibe, the technology, sightseeing and fun activities to do. I miss this city and I want to go back in the near future!
If you are NBA fans, Raptors fans or Rockets fans and you are planning to visit Tokyo, Japan, below are a number of things I highly recommend you to do, to eat and to explore.
MoVernie Recommendation: Tokyo has so many things to do. The 1st thing I told myself when I was in Tokyo is…..to pace myself. I told myself that I cannot do everything, just pick and choose activities that I want to explore and just enjoy every moment of it. You can’t cramp everything in, coz you may not be able to fully maximize and enjoy what each activity has to offer.
MoVernie Recommendation: Houston Rockets fans, depending on your flight options and schedule, it may be cool to fly from Houston, Texas to Toronto, Canada and then take the Signature Class flight experience with Air Canada. Leaving from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo, Japan. Check the flight availability and options via Air Canada website. Personally, perhaps even do a short lay over to check out this multicultural city of Toronto. Explore a bit and then hop on the Air Canada flights to Tokyo, Japan. Approximately, it’s about a 13 hours direct flight from Toronto to Tokyo.
To all the Raptors fans, Rockets fans and NBA fans, if you are planning to watch the pre-season games in Tokyo, cheer hard for me!
