Toronto Raptors - Chinese New Year 多倫多 Jerseys

In the past, whenever the Toronto Raptors hosted games near the Chinese New Year time, they just simply address via the PA Announcer and wishes everyone with a “Happy Chinese New Year” message on the jumbotron.

But for the very first time, the Toronto Raptors have stepped up a notch for 2017. During the Toronto Raptors vs Orlando Magic game on Sunday, January 29th, the Toronto players will be wearing a special limited edition jersey with Chinese characters shown on the front of the jersey. Chinese people love red as it symbolizes happiness and good luck! Raptors placed “多倫多” on the front of the Raptors jersey.

Furthermore, they are giving out a cute “Rooster” Raptors plush toys to the fans who are attending this special game. I am proud to be born Chinese and also proud to be Canadian. Canada is my home and it’s nice to see people respecting and recognizing the importance of diversity and multi-culturism. As the world continues to change, whether good or bad, we should continue to preserve our respective cultures and heritages. We should respect, love one another and live in harmony.
