Welcome Darko Rajakovic, the new Head Coach of the Toronto Raptors!
The Serbian head coach was greeted by the media and selected Raptors Season Ticket Holders at the outdoor press conference that was being held outside the Maple Leafs Square.
Life’s good for Serbian as Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic from Serbia won the NBA Championship yesterday night against the Miami Heat, bringing the chip for the 1st time in Nuggets franchise history.
During today’s outdoor Press Conference, Darko said, “Growth is the biggest reward” and I concur.
To me as a die hard Raptors fan, the win-loss column isn’t my biggest excitement, what I like to see is progress, players development, team growth, in-game adjustments, creative set plays.
I don’t want to see our starters being burned out averaging 38 mins a game during the regular season, meanwhile our bench has no minutes.
Hopefully, Darko can develop and provide more consistent playing minutes to our bench players such as Malachi Flynn, Dalano Banton, Christian Kololo and Precious Achiuwa etc.
