This information centre is super educational and informative. They have staff who are knowledgeable and can provide their expertise in the regions.
Apparently, the Creole Nature Trail covers a large area in Louisiana, it’s a huge space and have a number of routes for a road trip, so some planning would be suggested to plan ahead and to see what type of sightseeing spots and activities to do before heading out. These wonderful staff will be helpful in giving you suggestions on your road trip.
At the centre, there are a bunch of fun, interactive activation for kids and family to interact with. There are music instruments that you can play and learn more about the sound each instrument exerts.
There are some unique local foods and commonly used names/slangs that you can learn how to properly pronounce them. For example, “Boudin“, which is a famous rice sausage.
You can also try on the hunting gear and pose as Duck Dynasty.
You can try your luck learning how to use a chicken leg (fake) to catch crabs. Once you get a few tries at the centre, it’s time you go on a roadtrip to catch some real crabs.
