David Dunlap Observatory – Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada [ONTARIO TRAVEL SERIES]

Do you like stars and galaxy? David Dunlap Observatory located in Richmond Hill, Ontario is one of the hidden gems that I like to visit from time to time. One summer day, I decided to drive this Mazda MX-5 convertible to stargaze and did a photoshoot.
.
It was built in 1935 and it’s the largest optical telescope in Canada. A number of projects were conducted here with a number of breakthrough studies.
.
Before COVID-19, you can visit the building with INFO about this historic telescope. They even have periodic events to observe stars with this telescope and they even have a “Star Wars” theme event for kids and adults in the summer. Until we can visit again, please follow them on social media so you know when you can bring your kids there to explore.
.
But for me, even looking and posing photos with this unique circular building is good enough for me. Every time I visit, I felt like I am on another planet with this beautiful architecture.
