(Hotel Tour) at My Stay at Riggs Washington DC Hotel [WASHINGTON DC TRAVEL SERIES]

During my Washington DC Press Trip, I was hosted at Riggs Washington DC Hotel (Riggs Hotel). I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel that has rich history with unique character and style. I also enjoy its prime time location as everything is walkable and I really appreciate the convenience without the need to spend money on Uber or taxi but can walk and explore the city from my hotel. It saves me money & time!

Now, let me take you for a tour of my hotel crib!

First off, I really appreciate the door hanger along the wall to put my jacket. Moreover, it provided me with an umbrella in case it rains and a tote bag if I want to do some grocery shopping, very thoughtful of the hotel.

I am a BIG fan of a bathroom layout where the sink is separated from the shower/bathtub as one person can brush their teeth, or put on makeup and the other person can use the toilet or shower without taking up the entire bathroom.

Two or more people can maximize the bathroom and avoid argument of one person taking too much time in the bathroom. I appreciate that.

This room also provide a nice Dyson hair dryer.

I also really like the design and patterns on the bathrobe. Most hotels offer a thick heavy bathrobe which I am never a fan. But this silky smooth, light weight bathrobe was something I like and I wore. And the complimentary disposable slippers were a major plus! I always give extra brownie points to hotels that provide these wonderful slippers.

Further walk into the rest of my hotel room, you will see a decent size flat screen TV.

I really like the table and chair area. It’s comfy, stylish and enough space to put my stuff on the table where I can sit comfortably to do my social media.

The thermostat was very easy to operate. Although the ventilation rattled a bit that it was causing way too much noise. I informed the front desk to send someone to fix it while I roam the city and when I got back, they had fixed the noise and I had good night sleeps. Bravo to the hotel for its quick assistance!

The bed had clean sheets, blankets, comfy pillows and I enjoyed my much needed sleep. Let me tell you how important a comfy bed and clean sheets to the hotel guests!

And when you see this photo, you will wonder what this object that looks like a bank vault? It resembled the bank vault and once you open the door, there is a safe to put your valuables, mini fridge bar, and snacks at a cost. And on top of the fridge, there were glass of wine that you can pay for a fee to indulge.

Each day, 2 bottles of complimentary of water were provided which I appreciate.

Looking out the window was a nice view of the street as I can people watch as they line up for the Ultrabar club across the street or people dining at the patio area of The Smith restaurant and bar.

Let me also emphasize of the awesome audio proof windows being installed here at the bay windows. Since the street has a bar, dance club, busy traffic, I don’t hear a thing at all, it’s nice and quiet for me to enjoy my sleep.
