0

As many of you know me by now, I am ALWAYS on the MOVE. This week, I am driving the 2021 MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4 to roam around different places in Ontario.

And as part of my travel segment “Ontario Travel Series“, check out the places and photos that I have visited and explored while driving this MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4. Perhaps my visit to these places/events will give you inspiration to explore and experience yourself with your loved ones! Enjoy!

The 2021 MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4 was provided by MINI Canada so that I can be On the MOVE to explore Ontario. However, as always, the opinions expressed in this post is entirely my own.

First up, let’s roam around the west end Toronto area.

The Lakeshore Arena is a hockey facility located in the Etobicoke district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is an official practice facility of the Toronto Maple Leafs NHL hockey team, and their AHL affiliate the Toronto Marlies.

And sitting behind this practice facility, you could see a Toronto water tank. FYI – I often like to take photos of the water tank coz they usually show the name of the city/town that we just entered, so it’s a nice landmark for me to know we have arrived!

Oakbank Pond Park – Vaughan, Ontario, Canada
Address: 250 Centre St, Vaughan, ON
Hours: Open 24 hours

Oakbank Pond is located at 250 Centre Street with the nearest intersection is Centre and Bathurst streets. This park has been redeveloped back in early January 2018  with a nice boardwalk and walkways with trees and plants and overlook a beautiful pond and nearby mansions. And it’s located across Thornhill Presbyterian Church and this pond is only a block away from the historic MacDonald House.

I really appreciate the new lookout deck that is safe for people to overlook the pond plus a few benches there for people to sit and enjoy the view. There aren’t any parking lots but there are a few spots you can park along both sides of Centre Street.

Address: 121 Centre Street, Thornhill, ON, Canada

Thoreau Macdonald House is located at 121 Centre Street in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. It’s home of the famous Group of Seven artist J.E.H. MacDonald and later of his son Thoreau, a talented artist in his own right. The house remains intact and prior to the pandemic, hosted a number of events and tour for people to learn more about the life of the famous Canadian artists.

During this pandemic, the house is closed, there are no tours or events. However, it’s still pleasantly worthwhile to walk into the woods and trees and walk along the trails. I really enjoy the high tall trees at the trees and walk though the entrance. It’s so peaceful and magnificent.
