Hello everyone!

This past September, I was On the MOVE on a Press Trip to Washington DC to cover the World Culture Festival (WCF).

Every year, the hosting city for WCF is different. Last year was in India and this year was held in Washington DC. Thus, it’s truly special to have so many people coming from around the world to visit different hosting city every year to celebrate life, joy, happiness, peace and mental wellness. And I am truly honour to be invited by the Washington DC Tourism to participate and cover this special event that was held in Washington DC.

Over 450,000 people attended this year’s event. And yes, you read this right, it’s a huge number of people flying in from around the world to converge and attended this special festival.

This Press Trip meant a lot to me in many levels especially at a personal level where I feel proud being a Canadian and also proud being Asian.

I got to meet so many people from around the world from different ethnicities and cultures. I got to see people wearing their cultural outfits, music, dances and sharing their culture and countries.

The whole concept of WCF is to encourage diversity, inclusivity, multi-cultural, to live in harmony and luv one another as this universe is for everyone and we are as “one”.

Through motivational speakers, yoga, mediation, breathing exercises and music performances, we got to learn more about each other.

It was definitely a great mental and physical wellness journey for all of us.

Special thank you to @visitwashingtondc for arranging this meaningful Press Trip for me.

In the next few weeks, I will be posting more content about my experiences in Washington DC, including the restaurants and bars that I visited.

Washington DC has so much to offer especially its rich history, and many free admission places such as art galleries, museums, the zoo and festivals for the locals and tourists to visit. Washington DC is definitely like its slogans say “#MyDCcool” and “#Only1DC”.

The coverage of the World Culture Festival (WCF) during this press trip was provided by Washington DC Tourism. However, as always, the opinions expressed in this post is entirely my own.
