Scotiabank United Way Breakfast Event at Scotia Plaza

0

Scotiabank kicked off the wonderful friday morning with an United Way breakfast at its headquarter, the Scotia Plaza. At the main lobby, all the joyful executives and one of the Toronto Mapleleafs Legends, #27 Darryl Sittler (see video below) was on hand to cook some delicious, fresh hot pancakes for the participants.

I was chatting with Darryl Sittler abit and honestly, his pancakes were way larger than the rest of other people, so I got some from him. Besides, who doesn’t want some pancakes made by the legend?

In addition to the pancakes, there were fresh fruits salad, juice and coffee. As the weather outside was getting colder, it felt extra warm standing inside for a nice warm breakfast that were made by good-hearted people along with a good-hearted organization such as the  Scotiabank.

United Way is a great charitable organization and I am happy that I have been participate and covering many of its events. One of the volunteers at the entrance informed me about GenNext. GenNext is a group of volunteers who work with United Way Toronto to engage twenty- and thirty-something Torontonians with the community through giving and volunteering.
