This morning, I had a number of projects needed to be finished. It was important for me to get them done before I grab a bite. It was a relaxing lunch as I needed to take my minds off certain projects so that I can generate new ideas when I return to my office. To start the afternoon on a positive note, I received an email from Forbes Magazine, Associate Reporter, Natalie Robehmed, who wanted to write an article about the a social media rating program that I am a big supporter of and a heavy user called “Klout”.

To sum it up in simple terms, Klout is basically a program with special formulas created by their software engineers to help the user to calculate how socially active and socially influential they are to the society. So, the program will calculate any social media programs that you used such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Blogs, etc. The more programs you used, the higher score you are, especially if you can engage your followers to “like” your comments or reply to your tweets, etc. The higher the score, the more influential you are in the social media world.

So, Natalie wanted to interview some of the Klout Users so she contacted Klout. Klout gladly assisted Natalie by referring her to me. Klout mentioned that I am an active Klout User and very influential to his followers and the social media world. Thus, Natalie reached out and conduct a phone interview with me. We spoke for 20 minutes providing her with my experience as a Social Media Specialist and how important and the trend of social media user such as myself play in the future of the marketing world. It was a great experience for me and I am glad to do it again in the near future.

I am used to being a TV Host to interview people, so it’s great that I got to be interviewed this time around.

I look forward to reading her article about Klout.
